Message from Elder Miyasaki - 3-13-2013

Buenos tardes everyone!
This week has definitly been an amazing one! The week started out kind of hard, but it got so much better as the week went on. This week has already started out so so amazing! I had the amazing privilage of seeing Elder Bate come into the MTC today. Its honestly so so amazing to be here in the MTC with all my friends, I just got back from the temple and let me tell you, it was so so so amazing. The spirit there was so incredibly strong. I dont remember the last time I felt the spirit as strong as I did today. The Mtc has brought so many amazing blessings so far in my life and it has defenitly helped me grow up so much.

Last night Paul V Johnson from the quorom of the seventy came and spoke to us at our Tuesday Devotional, He was such an amazing speaker and I learned so much from his talk. He started off his talk by asking us all a question. The question was "What do you see yourself doing at this time in 2 years?" It was such a simple question but it really got me thinking a lot. The first thing I thought of was I didnt want to have any regrets when my time on my mission is all said and done, I want to invite the spirit in every single thing that I do. He then asked another question, "What do you want your future spouse to be like?" I thought that was such a weird question but again that got be thinking. It was so crazy that Elder Johnson asked this question because literally the night before my roomates and I were talking about the girls that we would want to marry. And all of us came to a conclusion that we all wanted to marry a Returned Missionary. The hermanas here are so so so awesome, their spirits and testimonys are so strong! And I defintly want to marry someone that wants to raise the family in the church and always have the gospel in their life at all times. The MTC really changes alot of things haha. But today we are getting a new district, so that means I get to get out of class again and do an orientation, being a Zone leader definitly has its perks haha. We now have 5 districts in our zone.

Thank you all for the letters that you have sent me and the packages. I really appreciate all the love and support you have given me, It means the whole world!
Love you all and I cant wait to hear from you during this next week
Te Amo!

Elder Miyasaki's Trip to the Doctor

On Monday morning (March 11th) we received a call from the MTC saying that Jalon needed to go to the doctors for x-rays and MRI's on his shoulder. More specifically his Labrum. This was the same shoulder (Labrum) that he had to have surgically repaired in High School. GASP...... our hearts fell. Jalon was so nervous about them telling him if had to have surgery. If surgery was needed this would delay his departure to Chile. And he was wicked worried about that.

Alaina spoke with Jalon and found out when the appointment was and she was able to go with him to it. So Alaina and Jax met Jalon and Elder Simms at the Hospital this morning (March 12th). They spoke with Dr. Wayne Mortensen and everything is going to be OKAY!!! He is sore but he will be okay! Dr. Mortensen told him that he needs to be careful with the weights and such.

Here are some pictures from the Dr's visit today.

Message from Elder Miyasaki - 3-6-2013

Hello Everyone!

I hope that your week has been amazing. My week has been a good one. I defenitly saw alot more trials and hard times this week than I have in the previous couple weeks. But this week still has been an amazing one! My room unfortunatly failed our room check because the people here at the MTC dont like the idea of 'Mega Bed' very much. Which is a bummer because mega bed has been such a great joy in my life. We didnt lose any basketball games this week so we pretty much run the MTC when it comes to basketball haha. I have learned so much this week when it has come to language, it often gets frustrating at times because you feel like you are making no progress at all but when you teach lessons you see how much you have really learned and honestly its the greatest feeling ever! My testimony has been grown so much and honestly I cant even wait til I leave the MTC for Chile. The day I leave is March 25th. I really just want to get out there and teach. I really cant believe that I have already been out for almost a month. Time has gone by so fast.

Just a quick thank you to all the people that sent me packages and mail this week. I really appreciate them so so much! Wendy, thank you so much for the jerky that you sent. I was only able to eat 2 or 3 slices before my roomates decided to take the rest of the bag. And mom.. I want you to know that I love and miss you mucho. And that goes for the rest of my family.

I love you all so very much. I am so grateful that I have all of you in my life, you have been such a positive impact on me. Stanley tell Bate that I want to see him right when he comes to the Mtc. And make sure to tell Paystrup that I love him. Love you all and I will write you next week.
